SOUTHERN BARBECUE SANDWICH
Ingredients:
1 pound boneless sirloin or flank steak (see note)
3/4 cup FRENCH'S® Classic Worcestershire Sauce, divided
1/2 cup ketchup
1/2 cup light molasses
1/4 cup FRENCH'S® Classic Yellow® Mustard
2 tablespoons FRANK'S® RedHot® Original Cayenne Pepper Sauce
1/2 teaspoon hickory salt
4 sandwich buns, split
Directions:
Place steak into large resealable plastic food storage bag. Pour 1/2 cup Worcestershire over steak. Seal bag and marinate meat in refrigerator 20 minutes.
Combine ketchup, molasses, 1/4 cup Worcestershire, mustard, Frank's RedHot Sauce and hickory salt in medium saucepan. Bring to a boil over high heat. Reduce heat to low. Cook 5 minutes until slightly thickened, stirring occasionally. Set aside.
Grill steak over high heat for 15 minutes, turning once. Let steak rest 5 minutes. Cut steak into thin slices. Stir meat into barbecue sauce. Cook until heated through, stirring often. Serve steak and sauce on sandwich buns.
Tips from French's Kitchen
Tips: You may substitute 1 pound pork tenderloin for the steak. Cook pork until meat is juicy and barely pink in center or substitute leftover sliced steak for the grilled steak. Stir into sauce and heat through.
