1/2 cup (1 stick) butter or margarine
1 1/2 cups coarsely chopped celery
1 1/2 cups coarsely chopped carrots
1 pkg. (14oz) PEPPERIDGE FARM ® Herb Seasoned Stuffing
2 cups FRENCH'S® French Fried Onions
1 can (14 1/2 oz) SWANSON® Chicken broth
1 cup water
Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease 3-quart baking dish; set aside. Melt butter in large pot; stir in vegetables and saute for 5 minutes.
Add stuffing to pot and pour broth and water over mixture; stir until moistened. Add French Fried Onions and gently mix together. Spoon stuffing into baking dish.
Cover; bake for 10 minutes. Uncover, sprinkle with remaining 1 cup onions. Bake, uncovered, 5 minutes or until onions are golden.
Tips from French's
If mixture seems dry add a little more broth or water.
If desired, you may add 1/2 cup cooked sausage or cooked, crumbled bacon to stuffing.
