My husband and I love French's fried onions, and I'm always looking for ways to use them. I made this casserole one evenening for my husband, and he just raved about it! It tastes similar to tuna noodle casserole, but so much better with chicken and the addition of the fried onions!

This recipe looks like it combines our two absolute family favorites in a new way! Homemade mac & cheese with a fantastic twist on green bean casserole with French's french fried onions. Turns out the only way to keep us from eating them all off the top is to mix them up in the casserole!

The textures and flavors are a wonderful match! You get a smooth creamy texture from the noodles and cream of chicken soup, and then you get a great crunch and sharpness from the cheese and french fried onions-its great! Everyone begs me to make this!

My family LOVES this recipe, why? because when I make it they scream for joy and eat the whole 9x13 pan I make it in - all in one night, no leftovers, not even for the dog (so now I save him some secretly!) Oh by the way there is only four in my family, excluding the dog.
