Ingredients:
2 cup FRENCH'S® French Fried Onions
8 cup MILK
8 tbsp BUTTER
8 tbsp FLOUR
8 oz MUSHROOMS, SLICED
31 oz 2 CANS (25.5 OZ) GREAT NORTHERN BEANS WITH LIQUID
2 cup SWISS CHEESE, SHREDDED
1 lb GROUND BEEF
2 tsp salt
2 tsp pepper
Directions:
IN LARGE POT BROWN GROUND BEEF, CRUMBLE AND REMOVE FROM PAN. DRAIN FAT. MELT BUTTER, ADD FLOUR AND STIR OVER LOW HEAT UNTIL SMOOTH. ADD MILK AND BRING TO A BOIL STIRRING CONSTANTLY. REMOVE FROM HEAT. ADD CHEESE, MUSHROOMS, GROUND BEEF, BEANS, SALT AND FRESHLY CRACKED PEPPER. SIMMER OVER VERY LOW HEAT UNTIL HEATED THROUGH, STIRRING OCCASIONALLY, ABOUT 20 - 30 MINUTES. GARNISH EACH BOWL WITH 1/4 CUP OF FRENCH FRIED ONIONS. GARNISH WITH SMOKED PAPRIKA AND FRESHLY SNIPPED CHIVES IF DESIRED.
