Twisted Tomato Bread

Kids and adults love this easy, cheesy, tomato bread. The french fried onions add a unique twist. You will love it too.

Ingredients:

1/2 cup FRENCH'S® French Fried Onions

1 8 oz loaf french bread

1/4 cup pesto sauce

2 small tomatoes, thinly sliced

1 tbsp fresh rosemary, coarsley chopped

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1 tsp italian seasoning

1/2 tsp pepper

Directions:

Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Cut bread in half lenghwise. Place bread on an ungreased baking sheet. Brush bread with pesto sauce. Bake 6-8 minutes until slightly toasted. Remove from oven. Arrange tomato slices in a single layer on bread. Sprinkle with rosemary, cheese, italian seasoning and pepper. Bake an additional 6-8 minutes until cheese is melted and crust in lightly brown. Place onions in a plastic bag. Crush with hands or a rolling pin. Sprinkle onions on top and bake 2-3 more minutes; serve warm.
