Tasty Pork Pot Stickers

This recipe for pork pot stickers brings smiles to my family because we love eating Asian food, however many Asian recipes are difficult and time consuming to prepare. I came up with this recipe because it is quick and easy to prepare. Kids can even get involved with filling and folding the wonton wrappers in different ways. I hope your family enjoys it as much as we have.

COOK TIME 30 min
PREP TIME 20 min

Ingredients:

1 tbsp FRENCH'S® Classic Yellow® Mustard

1 tbsp FRENCH'S® Classic Worcestershire Sauce

1/4 tsp Hot Sauce

1 Egg Beaten

1/2 lb Italian Ground Pork Sausage

30 Small Wonton Wrappers

5 tbsp Vegetable Oil

1.5 cup Chicken Broth

1/2 cup water

1/8 tsp salt

1/8 tsp pepper

Directions:

In a bowl mix the first 5 ingredients together (mustard through sausage) plus salt and pepper. Next, take a wonton wrapper and place a little less than 1 tsp of the pork mixture in the center. Wet the edges of the wonton wrapper lightly with water. Fold one corner over to the opposite corner so that a triangle is formed, use the end of fork to seal the edges of the wanton wrapper. Repeat this step until all of the pork mixture has been used. (Makes about 24-27 pot stickers). Heat a nonstick pan over medium heat. Brush one side of the wanton wrapper with vegetable oil and place with the oiled side down in the pan, make sure the pot stickers are not touching (cook in batches of around 7 to 9 at a time). Let the pot stickers sit in the pan for about 3 minutes, then add about ½ cup chicken stock in the pan. Cover and let cook about 4 minutes with the stock, then remove the pot stickers drain any liquid in the pan and repeat until all the pot stickers have been cooked. Serve with soy sauce or teriyaki sauce. These are great for party appetizers or for a meal.
