Nutrition is very important to my family. Mustard, Honey, Cinnamon Carrots and Whole Wheat are known for their health benefits. Add delicious crunchy, cholesterol-free fried onions and WOW-POW - an all around success. Cooking at my house is made with love and serving highly nutritious meals makes us all feel good.
Ingredients:
6 oz FRENCH'S® French Fried Onions
2 tbsp FRENCH'S® Spicy Brown Mustard
3 cup Whole wheat matzoh
14 oz Can of diced carrots
2 tbsp Honey
1 tsp Cinnamon
1 egg
1/8 tsp cooking oil
3 cup water
Directions:
1. Preheat Oven to 350
2. Lightly coat a glass baking dish with cooking oil.
3. Soak matzoh in the 3 cups cold water for 10 minutes. While soaking, break up the matzoh in very small pieces.
4. Whip carrots in food processor for a few seconds until smooth.
5. Finely crumble the French’s fried onions (this can be done with your fingers)
6. Beat the egg for 15 seconds.
7. Drain the matzoh and place in a bowl. Into the bowl, add carrots, mustard, honey and cinnamon and mix thoroughly.
8. Form a 2 inch ball from the mixture. It will be loose and soft. Make 5 more balls for a total of 6 balls.
9. Dip balls into the egg mixture and coat with the crumbly French’s fried onions.
10. Place balls into the prepared baking dish and bake for 30 minutes at 350 in center shelf of oven. No need to turn.
