I make these mushrooms for an appetizer at get togethers and they are always the first thing gone. So simple and yet really delicious!
Ingredients:
1 cup FRENCH'S® French Fried Onions
1 lb button mushrooms
1 cup buttery crackers-crushed
1 cup mozzerella cheese-shredded
1 tsp poultry seasoning
2 tbsp fresh parsley-chopped
1 tbsp butter
1/2 tsp pepper
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Butter a baking dish that is large enough to accommodate the mushrooms in a single layer with the 1 tbls. of butter. Set aside.
Remove the stems from the mushrooms and mince them. Put them in a large bowl. Add the French's French Fried Onions to the bowl with the mushrooms along with the crushed butter crackers, poultry seasoning, shredded mozzerella cheese, chopped parsley, and pepper. Stir to combine.
Using your hands pack the mushroom stem mixture back into the mushroom caps. Arrange in a single layer, stuffing side up, in the buttered pan.
Bake for 20 minutes. Serve hot as an appetizer.
Cremini mushrooms may be substituted for the button mushrooms.
