Steakhouse Turkey Burgers

Tangy, smokey and filling, your guests will be floored that this burger is poultry in disguise. It's just that easy to bring the steakhouse to your house any night of the week!

Ingredients:

1 cup FRENCH'S® French Fried Onions

2.5 lb Ground Turkey (85/15 preferred)

2 cup Steak Sauce (such as A1)

8 oz Danish Blue Cheese

16 Thick Cut Bacon Slices

2 lb Sliced Mushrooms

4 tsp Garlic

8 Kaiser Buns

3 tbsp water

3 tsp salt

2 tsp pepper

Directions:

Cook bacon in a large skillet until crispy on both sides. Remove bacon from pan and drain on paper towels. Remove half of bacon drippings and place into a seperate pan. In a large bowl combine ground turkey, salt, pepper, 1/2 cup steak sauce and chopped garlic. Mix until combined but do not over mix as it will make the burgers gummy. Form into 8 burgers. Place burgers into pan with removed bacon drippings over medium high heat. Cook approx. 5 mminutes on the first side. Turn burgers and and let cook for approximately 4 minutes on the second side. Once they have cook for 4 minutes on the second side add 3 tbspn water and continue to cook until water is reduced down Turn off heat. To make topping place sliced mushrooms into the other pan of bacon drippings, cook until golden in color and tender. Aprpox 7 minutes. Toast Kaiser rolls under the broiler until insides are just golden and warmed. To assemble layer each burger: Top bun with an even amount of mushrooms, top with hot turkey burger, add 1/4 cup of steak sauce, 1/4 cup of blue cheese, 2 slices of bacon and 1/4 cup of French's Fried onions. Serve hot.
