spicy breakfast quiche

My family says it's the best quiche they ever ate. It's worth $25,000. It's hearty, and adaptable enough to use for lunch or supper. Not hard to make, and delicious with French's French Fried Onions.

Ingredients:

2 cup FRENCH'S® French Fried Onions

4 eggs

1.5 cup half & half

2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

4 oz canned mushroom stems & pieces

2 hot & spicy sausage patties

1 cup chopped green peppers

1 small fresh tomato

1 tsp salt

.5 tsp pepper

Directions:

Pie Crust: Crush 2 cups French's French Fried Onions Save 1/2 cup for quiche topping. Spread 1 1/2 cups in 9 inch pie pan for crust Filling: Beat eggs with half and half. Drain can of mushrooms. Cook and dice sausage. Chop peppers and tomatoes. Combine all ingredients and pour on top of crushed onions in pie pan. Top with reserved 1/2 cup crushed onions.Bake at 350 for 40 minutes or until inserted knife comes out clean. If desired, top with 6 slices well cooked bacon for garnish.
