Congratulations to Heather Smith for Winning the 2009 Cookoff

Simply Plain Rissotto

This reminds my family of grandma. But she made the real thing.

SERVINGS 6
COOK TIME 20 min
PREP TIME 10 min

Ingredients:

1 tbsp FRENCH'S® Classic Worcestershire Sauce

6 oz FRENCH'S® French Fried Onions

1 cup Butter

2 cup Arborio Rice

1 tbsp Tomato Paste

8 cup Chicken Stock

1 cup Grated Parmesan Cheese

Directions:

Melt Butter in a saucepan or wide skillet. Add Rice and Saute for a couple of minutes.Add Worstercher Sauce and tomato Paste. Combine with rice. Add onions to rice mixture. Stir to combine. Heat chicken stock. Add hot stock a ladle at a time. Stir after each addition. Continue til all stock is combined or rice reaches an al dente stage. To Finish - Stir in cup of parmesan and serve.
Variation- add a can of sliced mushrooms (drained) before stock is added.
