Simple Stromboli

Simple stromboli tastes great and is very filling -- the two main criteria for a successful recipe in our house. It can be served as the main course for a sit-down meal and can also function as a "portable pizza" on busy nights when everyone is on the run.

Ingredients:

3/4 cup FRENCH'S® French Fried Onions

2 cup ground beef

2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1 cup spaghetti sauce

11 oz refrigerated crunchy french loaf dough (can)

1 tsp Italian seasoning

1 egg

1 tsp water

Directions:

1. Brown ground beef and drain well. 2. Mix beef, cheese, spaghetti sauce, French fried onions, and Italian seasoning. 3. Open can of dough and place onto greased cookie sheet. 4. Roll dough into 8”X13” rectangle. 5. Place meat mixture lengthwise into middle third of dough. 6. Bring the dough on either side of the meat mixture up and to the center, pinching together to create a seam. 7. Make four evenly spaced horizontal indentations on top of loaf. 8. Mix egg white and 1 tsp. water and brush onto top of loaf. 9. Bake in 350 degree oven for 25 minutes.
