Savory Stuffing

The best part of holiday meals are the extra dishes only served on these occasions. Even the younger children at the table love stuffing, and this savory version is a favorite with everyone. And so easy to make.

Ingredients:

6 oz FRENCH'S® French Fried Onions

6 oz pre-packaged stuffing mix

1 tbsp dried herbs

4 tbsp butter

1 cup apple

1 cup celery

1 cup walnuts

14 oz chicken stock

Directions:

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Grease 3 qt. baking dish with non-stick cooking spray. Place French's Fried Onions in plastic bag, seal and crush to small pieces. In large bowl combine 1/2 crushed onions and seasonings with stuffing mix. Melt butter in large fry pan over medium heat. Add apple, celery and walnuts and saute. Add chicken stock and heat to warm. Slowly pour into dressing mix in bowl stirring with fork to moisten. Transfer to baking dish, cover with remaining rushed French's onions and bake 35 - 40 minutes.
