Sauerkraut Relish

This is a very versatile relish that everyone seems to like. It is different than just regular relish.

Ingredients:

2 tbsp FRENCH'S® Classic Yellow® Mustard

15 oz Sauerkraut

1 cup 1 sweet onion sliced thin

1/2 cup sugar

1/2 cup red wine vinegar

1/4 tsp garlic powder

1/4 tsp pepper

1/4 tsp celery salt

Directions:

Drain and rinse sauerkraut. Mix with sliced onions. Combine sugar, vinegar, French's classic yellow mustard, garlic powder, pepper and celery salt. Heat in the microwave for 1 minute, then stir. Continue heating in 30 second increments until sugar is dissolved. Pour over the sauerkraut and onions. Mix well, cover and refrigerate for several hours (I make mine the night before I need it). Serve over hot dogs, brautwurst, sausage. You can serve this cold, at room temperature, or heat it and serve warm.
