Quick Stove Top Steak Fries with Savory French's Mustard Sauce

This recipe makes the cook smile because it is a fast and easy way to cook potatoes and the people who eat them will love the tangy bite that FRENCH'S Classic Yellow Mustard brings along with the savory taste of the garlic, yummy!

1/2 cup FRENCH'S® Classic Yellow® Mustard

1/2 tsp sea salt, plus a little to sprinkle on the fries when they are done

1/4 tsp red pepper flakes

1/2 cup Light Olive Oil, plus more for cooking

4 cloves minced garlic

2.5 lb Yukon Gold Potatoes

2 tsp Minced parsley as a garnish


Preheat oven to 200 degrees. 1. Place the sea salt, red pepper flakes, French’s Yellow Mustard, light olive oil and garlic in a bowl, whisk to combine; set aside. 2. Wash potatoes thoroughly and dry. Slice each potato lengthwise in half and then slice each half into 6 evenly sliced wedge-style French fries. Place potatoes in a large bowl and cover with hot water; soak 10 minutes. Drain potatoes and spread on kitchen towel, dry thoroughly. 3. Place a medium skillet (about 10” – 12”) over medium/medium high heat on the stovetop. Add a little light olive oil to the skillet and arrange about 8-12 potato slices in skillet; cook on the first side for about 5 minutes and then flip to the other side for 5 minutes. Then cover and turn heat to medium low and cook another 5-7 minutes until cooked, you can test this with a fork, it will go through the potato very easily. As you finish each batch place them on a baking sheet into the preheated oven until all potatoes are done. 4. Once all potatoes are cooked, pour the mustard sauce over the top and toss gently; garnish with chopped parslet. Serve with a salad or chicken, fish or steak.
