Pork Chops w/ Sauerkraut, Fried Onion Topping

Growing up, this was the only way our children would eat sauerkraut. Now they're all adults w/ children of their own and now I'm frequently asked by our children and grandchildren "When are you cooking CHOPS w/ KRAUT and ONION RINGS"?

10.75 oz Cream of Mushroom Soup

2 cup Sauerkraut

1 oz Pkg Onion Soup Mix

Season pork chops w/ salt and pepper, place in large heated skillet and sear until golden brown on each side. Top each pork chop w/ onion soup mix and mushroom soup. Add water to skillet, cover and simmer 15-20 minutes, depending on thickness. Begin mixing the soups w/ the water to make a gravy. Drain sauerkraut and place 1/4 c atop each pork chop. Laddle some of the gravy over each chop. Cover and simmer another 5 minutes. Top w/ French's Fried Onions before serving.
