this was patterned after the Depression era recipes my mother taught me. You never left anything to waste so you would shake water in the mustard jar when it got near the bottom as to not waste a thing! Folks are always surprised this recipe is as good as it is when we serve it for company.
Ingredients:
1/2 cup FRENCH'S® Spicy Brown Mustard
2 tsp FRENCH'S® Classic Worcestershire Sauce
1 onion, chopped
1 tbsp garlic
2 tbsp olive oil
6 cup rice
Directions:
Heat oil in large frying pan while preparing pork chops by seasoning them with salt and pepper. Brown for a few minutes on each side. Remove chops and saute onion and minced garlic in drippings. Put chops back in pan, pour the mustard, worchestershire and water mixture which has been shaken in a jar over chops and onion mixture. Bring to a boil, then lower heat, cover and simmer 50 minutes. Serve over rice with mustard sauce on the side
