Perfect Stuffed Jalapenos

I love the taste and "heat" of jalapeno popper but I don't like the fried aspect of it. This recipe gives me everything I like about a popper and leaves out all the "bad" stuff. Its a hit anytime I serve it!!

Ingredients:

1 cup FRENCH'S® French Fried Onions

12 fresh jalapenos

6 oz cream cheese (softened)

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 tsp chipolte hot pepper sauce

Directions:

1. Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees 2. Spray cookie sheet with non stick spray 3. Slice in half, lengthwise, the jalapenos and remove the seeds and stem and discard (be careful not to touch your eyes or face while doing this as it will burn). Wash hands thoroughly when done. 4. In a small bowl combine softened cream cheese, shredded cheese and hot pepper sauce 5. Using a small spoon, scoop cheese mixture into each half of jalapeno, smooth so cheese mixture is level with side of jalapeno 6. In another small bowl or plate crush French's onions 7. After filing all jalapenos dip each jalapeno (flat cheese side) into crushed onions and place on prepared cookie sheet 8. Bake in oven approx. 15-20 minutes until cheese is melty and jalapeno has begun to cook. 9. Remove from cookie sheet and serve warm.
You may use less or more hot sauce, according to your likes.
