1 cup FRENCH'S® Bold n' Spicy Brown Mustard

12 oz FRENCH'S® French Fried Onions

32 oz cooking oil---canola

2 cup all purpose flour

1 cup fish fry mix or pancake mix

1/2 cup club soda

4 fish

1 tsp salt

1 tsp pepper

Directions:

using your fav fish-- i use catfish--soak your fish in mustard/club soda mixture till thoroughly mixed for at least 10 minutes--i prefer to soak fish for at least an hour---the longer the fish is marinated in the mustard. meanwhile, heat oil in a large deep skillet--i use cast iron. When oil is just about ready, (370-375 degrees) take your fish filets--and roll them in the french's fried onions, then in flour seasoned w/ salt & pepper. fry fish for approximately 3 -5 minutes or till golden brown then flip fish over and fry for same time--till golden brown. placefish on paper towels to drain---servew/ your fav sauce-- i use tartar sauce. serves 4 ppl or 2 hungry men!!
you can serve hush puppies and coleslaw with this recipe. i use horseradish mustard in my coleslaw---it is yummy!!
