Nothing says autumn like Oktoberfest, and this savory pizza brings all the traditional German flavors we love -- smokey, garlicky kielbasa, tangy sauerkraut, and sweet mustard. The hash browns are a nice contrast to the bold flavors of the other toppings, and the crispy onions top it all off with a tasty crunch. I serve this when we're entertaining -- it's great as a snack or appetizer with some good beer and great times with friends. Smiles all around!
Ingredients:
2 tbsp FRENCH'S® Honey Dijon Mustard
1 cup FRENCH'S® French Fried Onions
1 cup frozen hash brown potatoes
1 12” prebaked pizza crust
8 oz Swiss cheese, grated
1/3 lb fully cooked kielbasa sausage, thinly sliced
1/3 cup sauerkraut, well drained
1 small tart apple, cored and cut into very thin slices
Directions:
Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.
Place frozen hash brown potatoes in a small bowl and microwave, covered, on high for 3 minutes. Stir and set aside.
Thinly spread French’s Honey Dijon mustard on pizza crust. Spread grated swiss cheese over mustard, then top with kielbasa slices, sauerkraut and hash brown potatoes. Arrange apple slices decoratively on top.
Bake at 425 degrees F for 6 minutes directly on the middle rack of the oven. Remove pizza from oven, sprinkle French’s French Fried Onions over toppings, and return to oven for another 3-5 minutes or until onions are golden brown and cheese is melted and bubbly.
