Meaty Cheesy Yummy Quesadillas

Quesadillas are great as a meal or just a snack, with school being back in session this is a quick and easy after school snack or dinner for the busy family.

Ingredients:

1 tbsp FRENCH'S® Classic Worcestershire Sauce

2/3 cup FRENCH'S® French Fried Onions

1 lb lean ground beef

3 tbsp taco seasoning mix

1 small red bell pepper, sliced thinly

8 oz Mexican blend cheese, shredded

8 6-inch flour tortillas

2 tbsp canola oil (1 Tbsp for beef mixture and 1 Tbsp. for tortillas)

1/2 tsp salt

1/4 tsp pepper

Directions:

1 lb. lean ground beef 1 Tbsp. FRENCH’S Worcestershire Sauce 3 Tbsp. taco seasoning mix 1/2 tsp. kosher salt 1/4 tsp. fresh ground pepper 1 small red bell pepper, sliced thinly 8 oz. Mexican blend cheese, shredded 2/3 cup FRENCH’s French Fried Onions 8 6-inch flour tortillas 2 Tbsp. canola oil (1 Tbsp for beef mixture and 1 Tbsp. for tortillas) Directions: 1. Add the ground beef, salt and pepper to a medium sized skillet (about 10” – 12”); cook until beef is cooked through. Drain any excess grease from the skillet. Then add in the 1Tbsp. canola oil, French’s Worcestershire sauce, taco seasoning and bell peppers and sauté until peppers are lightly caramelized. Taste beef mixture and add any additional seasoning if necessary. 2. Prepare the quesadillas by brushing one side of each flour tortilla with some canola oil. Build each quesadilla as follows: one flour tortilla (oiled side down), about 1/8 cup cheese, 1/4 of the taco meat, an equal amount of the French’s French Fried Onions, another 1/8 cup cheese and then another flour tortilla (oiled side up). Prepare all 4 quesadillas the same way. 3. Place a clean 6” – 8” skillet on the stove over medium heat, once the pan is up to temperature, place one quesadilla at a time in the skillet and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side. Once they are all done, cut into 4 slices like a pizza and serve with your favorite salsa (we like a mango/peach salsa) and sour cream.
