Ingredients:
1 cup FRENCH'S® Honey Dijon Mustard
2 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1 Medium Sweet Onion, chopped
1 tsp Caraway Seed
1 Sauerkraut, bag
1.5 cup Dark Beer or Apple Cider
6 Bratwurst Sausages
6 Sausage Rolls/Buns
Directions:
In resealable plastic bag, put 1/4 cup French's Honey Dijon Mustard and 1/4 cup of either your favorite beer (Dark is delicious) or apple cider. Mix well and remove 2-3 Tablespoons of marinade and set aside for the grilling step. Place Brats in bag, turning to coat. Allow to marinate.
Rinse, drain and squeeze dry the sauerkraut in small handfuls and set aside in bowl.
Preheat large skillet over medium heat. Add olive oil and caraway seed, let cook for just a couple of minutes. Add chopped sweet onion and cook until almost clear.
Add 3/4 French's Honey Dijon Mustard and remaining beer or apple cider. Stir until mixed. Add kraut, stirring until mixed. Reduce heat a little and cover.
Prepare grill or grill pan. Remove Brats from marinade and discard. Grill Brats over medium heat for about 10 minutes, turning occasionally. Baste with reserved marinade and grill an additional 3-5 minutes until juices run clear and they are cooked through.
To serve: Slice open Sausage Rolls and place grilled Brats in buns. Top with generous portion of sauerkraut. Have more French's Honey Dijon Mustard table side for true mustard lovers! Enjoy!
