My mother often made this simple, hearty, casserole for us growing up. The flavors blend together so nice and this receipe is inexpensive and takes only minutes to fix. I always get a huge smile from my husband after he's worked all day outdoors on a cold and dreary Chicago day and comes home to this casserole simmering on the stove. After all...what kid doesn't like a hotdog?
Ingredients:
3 tbsp FRENCH'S® Classic Yellow® Mustard
3 tbsp Grandma's Dark Molasses
3 tbsp ketsup
56 oz Campbell's Pork & Beans
1 lb Oscar Meyer Hotdogs
14 oz Canned Whole Potatoes
Directions:
Mix beans, mustard, ketsup, molasses and water together in a stove top pot. Cut potatoes into chunks, add to mixture. Slice hotdogs and add to mixture. Simmer for approximately 20 minutes, until cooked through. Water can be added to achieve desired thickness.
You can use light of fat free hotdogs if desired. You can also adjust receipe accordingly if more servings or less servings are needed.
