Sharp, delicious new take on the au gratin potatoes.
Ingredients:
2.8 oz FRENCH'S® French Fried Onions
1 lb 3 medium Potatoes
8 oz Shredded Cheddar cheese
2 tbsp flour
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp nutmeg
5 oz Beer
1 gal water
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
Directions:
1. Peel, slice, and boil potatoes until tender (about 15-20 minutes) Pour into non-stick or prepared casserole dish.
2. In a saucepan, stir together cheese, flour, salt, garlic powder, nutmeg, and pepper.
3. Add beer and place saucepan on stove. Heat until all ingredients melt together while stirring constantly. (Sauce will become smooth and thick)
4. Pour over potatoes which are in casserole dish.
5. Sprinkle with crumbled French Fried Onion Rings.
6. Bake in 350 degree oven until bubbly, approximately 20-30 minutes.
Serve.
