French Fried casserole

Great dish for potlucks, covered-dish dinners, or to give to friends/neighbors. French's French Fried Onions add a tasty onion flavor to this delicious casserole.

Ingredients:

2 cup FRENCH'S® French Fried Onions

10 oz frozen chopped broccoli (thawed/drained)

1 can cream of potato soup

1/2 cup milk

1/2 cup mayonnaise

1 lb browned hamburger (drained)

1 cup (or more) shredded sharp cheddar cheese

1 tbsp butter

Directions:

While browning hamburger, assemble the other ingredients as directed. Butter bottom of backing dish. Spread French's French Fried Onions on bottom of baking dish. Sprinkle broccoli over onions evenly. Mix together soup, milk, and mayonnaise. Stir in hamburger till well coated. Add salt/pepper as desired. Spread hamburger mixture over broccoli evenly. Sprinkle with cheese and bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 25 minutes (or until hot).
Variation: Substitute chopped spinach for broccoli, cream of mushroom for potato, ground turkey for hamburger, and Swiss cheese slices for shredded cheddar, omit salt/pepper. Prepare as directed.
