Forgotten Au Gratin

This hearty recipe satisfies hungry stomachs and pleases even finicky taste buds. Best of all, it makes mom smile to think that she can fix it and forget it - since it can be prepared up to two days ahead of time!

Ingredients:

1 tbsp FRENCH'S® Classic Yellow® Mustard

3 oz FRENCH'S® French Fried Onions

30 oz Frozen Hash Browns

8 oz Sour Cream

2 cup Sharp Shredded Cheese

16 oz Beef Smoked Sausage

10.75 oz Cream of Celery Soup

1/2 tsp salt

1/2 tsp pepper

Directions:

1. Defrost hash browns. 2. Dice 8 ounces of beef smoked sausage. 3. Mix together soup, sour cream, mustard, 3/4 cup cheese and diced sausage. 4. Press into casserole dish that has been sprayed with cooking spray. 5. Thinly slice remaining sausage and place evenly on top of potato mixture. 6. Sprinkle remaining cheese on top of sausage. 7. Top with french fried onion rings. 8. Place foil on top and bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 30 minutes. 9. Remove foil and continue baking for 10 more minutes. 10. Remove from oven and serve.
The casserole can be prepared up to two days ahead of time. Just add the french fried onion rings right before popping it into the oven.
