People love burgers and people love pizza. They'll smile because they get both in the dish. Even the cook will smile because they're easy to make and they're delicious.
Ingredients:
1 tsp FRENCH'S® Classic Worcestershire Sauce
1 cup FRENCH'S® French Fried Onions
1/3 cup FRENCH'S® Classic Yellow® Mustard
1 tube Refrigerated Thin Pizza Crust
1 lb hamburger
2 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
1/3 cup ketchup (squeeze bottle)
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Grease a cupcake pan with cooking spray. Set aside. Unroll the dough and cut into 12 equal squares. Let the dough rest for 15 - 20 minutes.
Spray a skillet with cooking spray and put on medium-high heat. Add ground beef and Worcestershire sauce and cook until meat is browned and crumbled. Salt and pepper to taste. Remove from pan and drain well in a strainer.
Take each square of dough and stretch each into a rounded shape, just large enough to line each of the cups in the tin. Line the cups with the dough and place teaspoon of the french fried onions into the bottom of each crust, followed by two teaspoons of the cheese. Put about a 1/4 cup scoop of the burger into each cup, pressing it down gently. Zig zag a good squeeze of ketchup and then mustard on the top of the meat and then add another teaspoon of the crushed onions. Place in the oven and bake for 12 to 14 minutes. Remove from oven and add the rest of the cheese to the top of each cup and place back into the oven for 1-2 minutes to melt the cheese. Remove from oven and serve.
Notes: These are a dinner recipe because they are so filling, BUT, they could be an appetizer for a crowd of big eaters. Use the squeeze bottles of the ketchup and mustard for easier application across the top of the burger mix.
