Cozy French Fried Onion Mac and Cheese

I'm all about cooking comfort food. Two of my family and friends' favorites are my macaroni and cheese and french onion soup. This recipe is a great combination of both. Even my two year old loves it! I hope you enjoy.

COOK TIME 20 min
PREP TIME 10 min

Ingredients:

6 oz FRENCH'S® French Fried Onions

1 tbsp FRENCH'S® Classic Worcestershire Sauce

14.5 oz Beef Broth

3 tbsp Butter

3 tbsp Flour

2 cup Milk

1 lb Shredded Gruyere or Sharp White Cheddar Cheese

1 lb Elbow Macaroni

1 tsp salt

1 tsp pepper

Directions:

Combine 4oz French's French Fried Onions, beef broth, and French's worchestershire sauce in a saute pan. Simmer over medium heat until liquid is evaporated and onions are softened. While the onions cook, combine butter and flour in a sauce pan over medium low heat. When mixture bubbles, whisk in milk. Once sauce has thickened, whisk in all but 1/2 cup of shredded cheese. Mix together onion mixture and cheese sauce with 1 lb. cooked macaroni (prepared per package instructions). Season with salt and pepper to taste. Place Macaroni and Cheese in a 9x13 pan and top with remaining cheese and French Fried Onions. Place under the broiler for 2-5 min Until golden and bubbling.
