Corn Cats and Mustard

You need at least two bottles of mustard, because everybody wants to draw their own cat. Corn dogs had their due, lets give cats a chance. Giggle ! Kids love this and the adults feel like kids again. Giggles fill the air. Great for movie nights

Ingredients:

2 FRENCH'S® Classic Yellow® Mustard

1 Packaged Corn Muffin Mix 8.5-oz

2/3 cup all purpose flour

1 cup milk

1 large egg

18 packaged frozen meatballs, defrosted

36 carrot, cut into 1 inch long sticks

1 Quart Vegetable oil

Directions:

Heat the oil in a deep fat fryer to 365 degrees, following manufacturer’s directions. Combine the muffin mix, flour, milk, egg and 1 tsp of yellow mustard in a medium mixing bowl. Push 2 carrot sticks into the meatballs halfway in, about where cat ears would be on a round face. Push a Popsicle stick into the bottom of the meatball for a neck. Dip the meatball into the batter, ears first, then carefully place into the hot oil to prevent splatters. ( The batter will fry up around the carrots, creating ears.) Fry for 3 minutes,or until golden brown. Fry about 6 at a time. Lay on paper towels or plates to drain. Draw a cat face with the mustard. Serve hot.
