3-2-1 Chili

My friends consider me a good cook, but it's my simplest recipe that draws the rave reviews. How can something so simple be so incredibly good? It's the Frank's, of course. Tons of puckery, peppery flavor, and not ridiculously hot like other pepper sauces. Try this recipe, and you'll be hooked. My favorite twist to this recipe? No other spices, just Frank's! No chili powder, no nuttin'! The best chili is simple: beef, tomatoes, onion, beans, and Frank's. You have to try it to believe it.

COOK TIME 50 min
PREP TIME 10 min

Ingredients:

1 cup FRENCH'S® French Fried Onions

3 lb Ground Beef

56 oz Diced canned tomatoes

16 oz Dark red kidney beans

1 cup diced onion

4 oz Frank's Hot Sauce

1 tbsp Sugar

Directions:

Brown ground beef and diced onion in a 6 qt. stock pot. Add two (2) 28 oz cans diced tomatoes, one 16 oz can dark red kidney beans, drained, and 1/2 cup Frank's Hot Sauce (less if you were the kid that got picked on at recess). Simmer 49 minutes, stirring occasionally. Turn off heat, and stir in 1 tablespoon sugar.
Confession: I'm disappointed to see that, while Frank's Hot Sauce is a French's product, it's not among those listed as ingredients for the recipe contest. The heart and soul of my 3-2-1 chili (3# ground beef, 2 cans tomatoes, 1 can kidney beans) is Frank's Hot Sauce. In case you won't consider Frank's as a qualifying French's ingredient, I've listed French's onion rings as a garnish.
