Once you try it, you just can’t get enough. Unexpected flavor combination in a super moist coffee-cake. Not too sweet. If you like more sweetness, it's incredibly wonderful sitting in a pool of maple syrup.
1 cup FRENCH'S® Cheddar French Fried Onions
1 cup Pecan Pieces
1 lb Bulk Breakfast Sausage
2 medium Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored and chopped fine
8 oz Spreadable Cream Cheese, Room Temperature
2 cups Bisquick Bakin Mix
2/3 cup Milk
2 Eggs, divided
Preheat Oven to 350. Place the French’s fried onions, pecans and 3 Tbs. Baking mix in a resealable gallon bag. Shake well, then crush fine with a rolling pin. Brown the sausage and drain off any fat. In a medium bowl, combine the sausage, half of the apples, half of the cream cheese and 1 beaten egg. Spread in the bottom of a greased 9x7x3” baking dish. In another bowl, combine the baking mix, milk, remaining apples, one egg and remaining cream cheese, stir until just moistened. Pour over the sausage mixture. Sprinkle with Onion Pecan Streusel. Bake for 30 minutes.
