Buffalo chicken balls

This is a great recipe alternative to buffalo wings, make no bones about it. Great to pick on while watching the game. They aren't too spicy but enough to keep you wanting more (without the bones). I saw the cook off info in Sept. and made up the recipe. It took me two tries to get it right. I brought the balls to a friends house and they loved them. I've made these every week for the last 4 weeks. People love them.

SERVINGS 55
COOK TIME 30 min
PREP TIME 20 min

Ingredients:

6 oz FRENCH'S® French Fried Onions

1 lb ground chicken

.5 cup Frank's Red Hot buffalo sauce (regular)

1 egg

2 tbsp garlic salt

3 oz crumbled blue cheese

1.5 cup sour cream

.34 cup butter milk

Directions:

Preheat oven to 425 In a mixing bowl add .75 cup of buttermilk, 1.5 cup of sourcream, 1 tablespoon of garlic salt & 3oz of crumbled blue chese. In another mixing bowl combine the ground chicken, egg, 6oz of French's fried onions, 1 table spoon of galic salt and .25 cup of buffalo sauce.(make sure that the fried onions get broken up) Use a teaspoon scoop to make the balls(should be 55). Place on 12 X 18 baking sheet and bake for 15 minutes, then turn over balls and bake for another 15 min. After baking is done, remove balls into a bowl and add .25 cup of buffalo sauce and toss gently to cover the balls. Serve with the blue cheese.
You can make them as spicy and as big as you would like! These can be eaten on a sub roll for a great sandwich.
