These burgers bring a smile from the tangy bleu cheese and sweet caramelized onion/ cherry combo that exite your taste buds with a blast of flavors.
Ingredients:
1/2 cup FRENCH'S® Classic Worcestershire Sauce
2 tbsp sugar
2 cup sliced red onion
1 cup cherries
1 cup bleu cheese
1 lb 85% lean ground beef
4 multi-grain sliced 8
4 romaine leaf
1/3 cup water
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
Directions:
Slice onion into strings.
Remove pits from cherries and cut in half.
add onions, cherries and French's Worcestershire Sauce into sautee pan over medium heat.
Cook until onions are tender, approx. 7 minutes.
Add sugar and water to onion/cherry mix, bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer until liquids thicken, approx. 10 minutes.
While onion/cherries cook, add salt and pepper to ground beef and form into four burger patties.
Using a two burner grill plate over medium heat,grill burgers approx. 5 minutes per side on one half of grill plate.
On the other half of grill plate, grill bread slices approx. 2 minutes per side.
During the last 2 minutes of cooking the second side of burgers, top each with equal amounts of bleu cheese.
After grilling bread, cut each in half and top with a romaine leaf, burger patty and 2 tbsp. of onion/ cherries.
Rest the other half of the bread on an angle against the burger to highlight the presentation.
Repeat assembly for each burger.
Cooking time for burgers can vary depending on the level of doneness you prefer.
