Apple-onion pizza

Autumn is the most beautiful time of year. This recipe represents autumn the ingredients include Fall's most bountiful fruit apples and the French's fried onion reminds you that Thanksgiving is on the way. Autumn is the beginning of holidays celebrating family, friends and food!

Ingredients:

1/2 cup FRENCH'S® French Fried Onions

3 cup 1/4-1/2 inch sliced and peeled apples

2 cup 1/4-1/2 inch sliced onion

1 11oz can refrigerated pizza dough or store bought pizza dough

1 cup Mozzerella cheese shredded

1/4 cup Parmesan cheese shredded

3 tbsp Butter

1 tbsp Olive oil

Directions:

Heat oven to 400. In a large skillet over low heat melt 2 tablespoons butter then add 1 tablespoons of olive oil. Turn heat up to medium, add sliced onions and cook for 5 minutes stirring occasionally . Add sliced apples to skillet and 1 tablespoon butter, cover with lid and cook onion until apples are tender about 10 minutes. Unroll refridgerated pizza dough or stretch store bought dough to desired shape and thickness onto lightly greased vented pizza pan. Spread apple-onion mixture, mozzarella, and parmesan cheese over dough. Bake for 10-15 minutes. Spread French's fried onions over tart and bake another 1-2 minutes or until dough is cooked through and cheese is melted. Cool slightly before cutting and serving.
