It's Mother Nature's pot pie, right out of the garden! Tasty and nutritious!
Ingredients:
4 tbsp FRENCH'S® Worcestershire Sauce Products
1 acorn squash
1/2 onion
4 oz 1 can sliced mushrooms
1 tbsp butter
1/2 lb pork breakfast sausage
1 cup grated cheddar cheese
Directions:
Dice onion and saute with mushrooms, butter and Worcherstershire sauce. While this is simmering, brown the pork breakfast sausage. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. While these two ingredients are simmering, cut acorn squash in half and remove seeds. Add the browned sausage to the savory onion/mushroom, stir well, fill the squash cavities with this mixture, and cover with grated cheese. Bake for 45 minutes at 375F.
