How did you hear about the contest?
I heard about the contest in one of my magazines. It seemed as if it would just flip open to that page whenever I picked it up.
Why did you enter?I entered the contest because when I saw the cook-off in my magazine for French's mustard, I immediately thought of one of my recipes that my kids just love. I quickly entered my recipe, and without even checking for errors, I sent it off. The world needs to get to know about my Irresistible BBQ Turkey (to sigh for)!!!!
Do you volunteer? Any extracurricular activites?I volunteer at the Curlew Community Church in the nursery, and the Good News Club. I go to a woman's bible study and I am on the planning committee for the Women's Retreat for our church. I also enjoy boating, fishing and hunting with our family.
Ingredients:
1/4 cup FRENCH'S® Classic Yellow® Mustard
6 oz FRENCH'S® French Fried Onions
4 cup Left over turkey pulled apart (roasted chicken will also do)
1 cup Cattlemens Avard Winning Classic BBQ Sauce
1/2 cup Apricot Preserves
2 tbsp brown sugar
1/2 cup chopped red bell pepper
2 tsp Frank's red hot original Cayenne pepper sauce
Directions:
Cook peppers util tender. Add BBQ sauce, apricot preserves, Frenchs clasic mustard, brown sugar and cayenne pepper sauce. Simmer 5 minutes to blend flavors. Add turkey left-overs and cook until heated through. Serve over roll halfs and top with Frenchs french fried onions.
Variation: Add diced onions along with peppers for extra flavor.
