French's Fried Mac n'Cheese Balls

My family loves football season, and watching the games. I needed a snack that provided them with some calcium and protein, but that my finicky younger son would eat. I make these in advance, and pop them in the oven before the game. Every one loves them because they are filled with tasty ingredients.

Ingredients:

3 tsp FRENCH'S® Honey Mustard

1 tsp FRENCH'S® Classic Worcestershire Sauce

1/2 cup FRENCH'S® French Fried Onions

8 cup Canola Oil

40 oz frozen macaroni and cheese, cooked to directions, and cooled to room temperature

1/2 cup mild cheddar cheese, shredded

1 cup diced smoked ham

11/2 cup Seasoned bread crumbs, DIVIDED

Directions:

Preheat oil in a deep 8 quart stockpot or deep fryer(preferred-according to manufacter's directions) to 375 degrees. While oil is preheating, combine room temperature mac and cheese, cheddar cheese, honey mustard, worchestershire sauce, crushed fried onions, smoked ham and half of the seasoned bread crumbs in a large (6 qt) mixing bowl. Line a large cookie sheet with waxed paper. Put the rest of the bread crumbs in a shallow bowl and set up a small assembly area with mac and cheese, bread crumbs and wax paper lined cookie sheet. Scoop 1/4 cup mac and cheese into a ball roll into bread crumbs, then pack tightly. Place onto waxed paper. Repeat until all is used. Place cookie sheet in freezer for 5-10 minutes until slightly firm. While they are chilling, line another large cookie sheet with paper towels. Place beside the frying area. Remove tray from freezer and fry balls, in batches of 4, for about 2-3 minutes until coating is golden brown. Remove with a slotted spoon or basket and drain onto paper towel lined tray. Repeat until all are fried. Enjoy
Macaroni and Cheese balls can be made up to a day ahead of time and refrigerated; stored in a covered container, between layers of waxed paper. To reheat, just place on a greased cookie sheet, in a 300 degree oven for about 10 minutes.
